Peter is a Distinguished Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP) for his work on cultural competence and health equity for M\u0101ori, and he was the first indigenous Fellow of RACMA.<\/p>\n
Quality improvement and M\u0101ori health equity have been central themes in his career, beginning in primary care and pharmaceutical medicine, then in the treatment injury team at New Zealand\u2019s Accident Compensation Corporation.
