Karen Maddock has over 30 years of experience in haematology. She began her role as the Haematology Clinical Nurse Consultant at Westmead Hospital in 2007, working across both malignant (including general and blood transplant) and non-malignant haematology, such as bleeding disorders and haemoglobinopathies.
In 2019, Karen completed her Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) and initially served as a Nurse Practitioner in Blood Transplant. She currently holds the position of Cell Therapy Nurse Practitioner at Westmead Hospital.
Most recently, Karen has played a key role in the development of the IEC and CAR T-cell therapy service at Westmead. She also serves as the joint chair of the ANZ Nurses CAR T Cell Group.
