Whether you’re keen to catch up with your peers, make new connections, or just enjoy a fun night out (all while raising much needed funds for a wonderful cause!) – The Conference Dinner is not to be missed.
Coolangatta Beach & Greenmount
A stunning stretch of sand just a short stroll from the venue. Ideal for morning swims, coastal walks, or a coffee by the ocean. Or bring your mat and join the locals for some sunrise yoga on the beach!
Snapper Rocks & Point Danger Lookout
Famous surf breaks and panoramic views across the coast. Time your visit for sunrise or sunset.
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary (10 min drive)
Cuddle a koala, feed kangaroos, or catch the Aboriginal culture show. Family-friendly and a delegate favourite!
Tweed River Cruise
Scenic cruises depart nearby — ideal for those wanting to explore the river and hinterland.
Whale Watching
The whales are out now! Keep your eyes peeled from the beach, or book a dedicated whale-watching tour.

Coolangatta is known for its laidback dining scene, from casual bites and beachside clubs to fine seafood and Italian. Here’s a mix of local favourites to explore:
- Choofas Smokehouse & Seafood – Relaxed, casual spot great for groups and local seafood.
- Cooly Breeze Rooftop Restaurant – A little more formal with elevated coastal dining and views.
- Pipis – Elevated beachside dining with spectacular 220 degree ocean views with a modern Mediterranean inspired cuisine.
- Radici Pasta House – Cozy and casual Italian with excellent handmade pasta.
- Siblings Kirra – Formal beachside dining with seafood, pasta and share plates.
- Coolangatta Surf Club and Greenmount Surf Club – Classic beachfront club dining. All surf clubs in the area are casual, with unbeatable views.
- Nude Amigos – One of a few cute and colourful Mexican spots nearby offering fresh tacos, margaritas, and fun beachy vibes.
- George’s Pizza and Wine – Casual with a great local following. Next door is George’s Paragon, a more formal option with seafood classics.
- Eddie’s Grub House – Burger joint with attitude, live music some nights.
- Pokkoi Thai – Tucked away and casual, great for a spicy midweek fix.
- The Tropic (at Burleigh Pavilion) – A little further up the coast, but worth it for a sunset drink and dinner.
We recommend booking for group dinners as venues can get busy.
